Failing to make the playoffs with a loss against Simpson this past Saturday, the Central Dutch men’s basketball team were not blown out in many games this season. With eight of their 11 Iowa Conference losses coming by less than ten points, Central men’s basketball coach, Craig Douma said that most of the failures this season can be attributed to not being in the right state of mind mentally. In fact, half of the Dutch’s conference games were decided by five points or less, and another went to overtime. Douma ended his first year as head coach of Central’s men with a 10 – 14 record.
