Pella Christian’s bowling teams took to the lanes Saturday at the Pella Excit-A-Bowl to wrap up their regular season meets. The boys finished fourth, just 79 pins behind Norwalk, while Knoxville was second only 65 behind Newton. Spencer Fynaardt posted the sixth highest two-game total with 381, Rylie Reidel and Jake Steel were second and third with 446 and 402, respectively. The Eagles’ girls came in fifth at the meet. Kara Jansen had the high series for her Eagles with a total of 300. The Panthers’ Taylor Mendenhall had the highest total overall with 372. The state qualifying meet in Knoxville is next for all of the teams, and Eagles’ coach Rod Blunck tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that he thinks they can finish the season a little stronger than they did on Saturday.
