Non-conference basketball was good to Pella High basketball Saturday afternoon, as the Dutch were able to sweep the Trojans at home. The girls came away with a 67 – 59 win, as the Lady Dutch shot the ball and handled it a lot better than they did against Knoxville. Three starters were in double figures for the Pella boys in their win over Fairfield, 61 – 51. Isaac Naaktgeboren was again the catalyst on offense, scoring 19 points, while the post players for the Little Dutch did the rest of the work offensively, with Nathan Clayberg dumping in 12, and Garret Jansen scoring 11. The Pella girls are now 8 – 11 on the year while the boys are now 12 – 6. The Green Team will hit the road to get back to conference play on Tuesday to face a very tough pair of Norwalk squads.
