Rescue Crews from around the county finished ice rescue training on Saturday. First responders from a number of agencies have been training to get certified in ice rescues over the last two weekends. Previously the primary ice rescue source in Marion County was the Pella Fire Department, but this training, along with fundraising efforts to purchase rescue equipment for other departments, aims to reduce response times for ice emergencies.
