The final games of the season lie ahead for both boys’ basketball teams for Knoxville and Pella Christian High, and tonight, the two schools will do battle. Knoxville had one of their more impressive first halves of basketball against Albia in Des Moines on Saturday before finally falling 62 – 47. Pella Christian’s boys have been on “a bit of a roll” lately as head coach Larry Hessing put it, winning their last nine games. Hessing told KNIA/KRLS Sports that his guys are doing a good job of focusing on who is next on the schedule rather than looking ahead to perhaps bigger match-ups down the road. Tonight’s boys’ match-up takes place immediately after the girls’ game at around 8:00 p.m. and will be aired live on 92.1 KRLS and AM 1320 KNIA.
