The Knoxville City Council will consider suspending Dingus Lounge’s liquor license during their regular meeting today. According to a city memo, the Knoxville Police Department found patrons in the establishment two separate times after 2:10am. City Code stipulates that non-employees may not be in licensed liquor establishments between 2am and 6am. One of those two times, open containers were still visible. According to that memo, patrons stated they were waiting for a ride from employees who were closing. Dingus had its license suspended for four days after a similar incident in 2006. However, that suspension was waived after the business went a year without a further incident.
