It did not take too long for the Knoxville Girls basketball Squad to realize that Perry was one of the better teams they faced all season. The Bluejays used an early 10-0 run to break the game open in the first quarter to lead 23-6, then started the second quarter on a 16-4 run to put the game away and lead by 32 at the half en route to a 73-31 victory. Coach Jim Utiermarkt said at halftime… the talk centered around not worrying about the score so much as playing better. Ashley Hawkshead led the Panthers with six points. Knoxville finishes regular season play at 8-13 and will prepare for the first round Class 4A Regional against Carlisle on Wednesday.
