The Knoxville Boys Basketball Squad fell to Centerville last night in class 3A District play 78-50, but the Panthers did not go down without some fight. Centerville, after grabbing a 22-9 first quarter lead blew the game open in the second quarter with a 13-0 run to up the lead to 27 by the half. However Knoxville reeled off the first seven points of the second half to show the Big Reds they still had a little bit left. Coach Jeff Larson said the 13-0 flurry by Centerville and the Big Reds’ defense was the key. Ryan Douglass led the Panthers with 15 points while Gerrit Davis added 11. Knoxville finishes the season 0-22, and will graduate Jake Stearns, Joe Stearns, Jacob Moats, and Ryan Douglass.
