Pella and Pella Christian combined forces for their Coaches vs. Cancer event on Tuesday night. The event collects donations for the American Cancer Society during basketball games through a variety of activities, including pink shoelace sales, and a bucket donation challenge. Dale Otte, Athletic Director at Pella Schools, says that through change donations alone they raised over $600. They still need to count money raised through shoelace sales. He says it was very well attended for a Tuesday night game and they are glad they were able to raise money and bring awareness to the cause.
