The Melcher-Dallas Saints’ basketball teams are looking for the same success they had against Seymour the first time these teams met almost two months ago. It’s the Saints’ turn to host the Warriors, as the two schools are heading down the final stretch of their regular seasons. The Saints’ girls rode a 16 – 2 fourth quarter to a 44 – 26 victory. Freshman Jessi Anderson had her best offensive game of the season, scoring 15 points against the Warriors. For the Saints’ boys, it was a 32 – 1 first quarter that got the blood flowing en route to an 89 – 19 thumping of Seymour in their first confrontation this season. Four Saints were in double figures, led by Kenneth Waddle’s 21. The doubleheader between the two schools will tip-off this evening at 6:15 p.m.
