One person was injured after a motorcycle accident south of Knoxville yesterday evening. Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy James Lane tells KNIA/KRLS News that the cyclist was traveling on Highway 5 just around 5:50 when he lost control on a curve near Osceola Drive. The driver appeared to have no life-threatening injuries. He was taken by Knoxville Rescue to Knoxville Hospital and Clinics. Traffic was slowed to a halt for nearly half-an-hour as rescue crews maneuvered around the narrow road. The Knoxville Rural Fire Department and the Iowa State Patrol also responded to the scene.
