Playing their last home game of the season, the Pella Christian boys’ basketball team welcomes Davis County into their gym for a second round match-up in the Class 2A district tournament. The Little Hawkeye Conference champs received a first round bye thanks to their strong regular season play, and will be facing a .500 Mustangs team that has had its ups and downs. Davis County was able to beat 4A Knoxville and hang with a ranked Centerville squad in their final conference meeting of the season, but have also lost to 1A school, Twin Cedars. Eagles’ head coach, Larry Hessing, said that he is focusing on getting his guys ready to play, but also puts some weight on who they are playing. Tonight’s Class 2A clash will be aired live on 92.1 KRLS and streamed live on kniakrls.com with Cory Houser and Wynne Veenstra calling the action. Pregame is at 6:45 p.m.
