Power Outage in Marion County

UPDATE #2 – Power has been restored to all Marion County customers, according to MidAmerican. That update comes as of 2:25pm. More than 3100 customers were without power for a half-hour, including more than 800 for around 50 minutes.

UPDATE: Power was restored to many customers at around 2:10pm, but MidAmerican is reporting more than 800 customers still without power.

MidAmerican Energy is reporting that more than 3100 customers in Marion County are being impacted by a power outage at this time. The outage began at around 1:35pm; authorities say caused by a breaker that went out at the station on the corner of Lincoln and Larson. The outage impacted a variety of locations in Knoxville, including all along the Lincoln Street corridor as well as downtown Knoxville. KNIA/KRLS will provide an update as soon as information becomes official.
