After trading wins and losses to begin the year, the Melcher-Dallas boys’ basketball team was faced with the task of having to turn their season around. The Saints decided that it was their defense that needed to stiffen up if they were going to get things back on track. Coach Jim Wells said that even though there wasn’t a lot to turn to off the bench, his guys still got the job done in the latter half of their schedule. When the Saints prevented a team to eclipse the 60-point mark in 2013, they won each of their contests. Melcher-Dallas’ boys would finish the season with an 11 – 11 record.
