Sequester Impacts Not All in Stone

As the countdown to the sequester cuts continue, Marion County companies and governmental bodies are still learning how they may be impacted. Knoxville schools Superintendent Doctor Randy Flack says he’s not sure how much money they stand to lose, but says the school district would likely lose funding for Title I Reading programs and special education programs. Hormel Plant Manager Troy Hawkshead says discussions about what may happen with meat inspectors is still speculative and they’re continuing to work with their inspectors to understand the ramifications.
