Following an improved 2012-13 campaign that saw his team win ten games for the first time in almost a decade, Central’s women’s basketball coach, Mike Jacobsma, said that his first year on the job, he worked with the sophomores and juniors on the team because he knew they would be the ones that would be stepping up in his sophomore year at the helm. Now that this year is over, Jacobsma talked about two that he really went to for leadership. Both Alyssa Schwartz and Nicole Strasko will depart after the Spring semester; Strasko set a school record with most rebounds in a game back in November with 22 against North Central Illinois.
