In her first week as a pitcher of the South Eastern Conference, Pleasantville Native Chelsea Thomas is already making her mark in her senior season for the University of Missouri Softball Squad. Thomas won her first career S-E-C Softball Pitcher of the Week award this week. She struck out 19 total batters in two complete-game winning performances last week. In Mizzou’s 4-0 win over Fresno State on February 15th, Thomas struck out nine and allowed just two Bulldog base runners on two hits. Thomas fanned ten batters in the squad’s 12-1 victory over Cal-Santa Barbara on February 17th, surrendering zero earned runs. Missouri continues is West Coast road trip this week in Palm Springs, California.
