Earlham proved to be too much for Twin Cedars’ girls in Monday night’s Class 1A regional basketball final, as the Cardinals prevailed 79 – 55 over the Sabers. Twin Cedars had no answer for Earlham’s potent offense, as they were outscored 42 – 26 in the second half. Alee Hugen led the way with 24 points while Brittney Roby scored 20 for the Sabers, who finish their season at 21 – 4. Twin Cedars will part ways with four seniors from their varsity squad: Hugen, Ayla Crosby, Payton Fee, and Kenzie McCarty.
