The Knoxville City Council finalized an agreement this week as they try to ensure parking tickets are paid. The Marion County Treasurer’s Office will put a hold on anyone’s registration who has unpaid parking tickets. Police Chief Dan Losada says that they’ve been doing this for some time already, and this agreement puts it in writing. He says it’s been pretty successful since it started; many people have paid their tickets around the first of the month when their told their registration is on hold.
