The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch that will begin Thursday morning and run through Friday morning. Reports indicate that around 5-to-10 inches of snow is expected to fall, with the heaviest amounts west of I-35. The snow is expected to move into southwest Iowa by sunrise Thursday before moving into Central Iowa by mid-to-late morning. KNIA/KRLS’S Severe Weather Action Team is on alert and will continue to monitor the potential storm.
