A storm will arrive Monday with light snow far west. The bulk of the storm will hit Tuesday over the southeast half of Iowa. Winter Storm Watches have been posted for portions of Kansas, Missouri, southeast and eastern Iowa as well as western Illinois. Across central Iowa between 1 and 4 inches of snow is expected with 4 to 8 over the far southeast. The heavier snow will fall from Kansas to Missouri where 6 to 10 inches is expected. Breezy winds will develop with this system on Tuesday. This will cause some blowing and drifting of snow. At this time the expected track of the storm should keep the heaviest snowfall south of Iowa.
