Wanting to get a feel for the caliber of athletes he would have out for track this season, first year head girls’ track and field coach for Twin Cedars, Jesse DeGeest said that he did some scouting during basketball season when the Sabers’ girls were in action. DeGeest says that the school’s success isn’t just limited to basketball. DeGeest adds that they should be pretty fast in the short distances and that the longer running events are still up in the air. The Sabers’ coach said he’s still trying to get familiar with all of the girls on the team seeing as how this is his first season on the job. DeGeest’s gals are scheduled to have a track meet on Thursday at Osceola at 5:00 p.m. and is still on as planned.
