Meet number one of the young season for the PCM girls’ track team went overall well, said head coach, Bridget Burns, as her team joined Pella at the ISU Indoor Meet. Burns said her sprint medley relay did a nice job last night with a time of 1:59.70, which was run by Mackenzie Clarke, Kelsey Townsend, Emma Williams, and Alexis Kain. The first-year head coach also told KNIA/KRLS Sports that Abbi Gilson, in the field events, did very well in the shot put. Burns added that some girls really stepped up for her squad and did things that were very impressive seeing as how it is still very early in the season; and there are also things to improve on, but now that they have a starting point, they can focus on goals for the future.
