Same result, different day, the Central baseball team came away with another 6 – 5 victory Friday night over Heidelberg College of Ohio in the Gene Cusic Classic down in Fort Myers, Florida. The Dutch picked up ten hits in the game, all singles, but were able to push four runs across in the first to give another early cushion. Ryan Dusil lasted five innings and picked up the win, while Josh McKown made his second appearance in as many days to also pick up his second save on the year. Central is 2 – 0 to begin the year, and will have no time to rest, as they are right back on the field this morning at 9:00 a.m. to play Newbury, Massachusetts in a seven-inning doubleheader.
