The caliber of competition in the Little Hawkeye Conference is quite great. For the spring soccer season, head boys’ coach at Pella High, Mark Solomon, said that it seems like with each passing year, every school in the league feeds off one another’s success and makes the conference schedule that much tougher. The Little Dutch head coach pointed at Norwalk who has had perennial success in the sport and constantly gets to the state tournament. Solomon said that they have two goals at the beginning of each season: to win the conference championship, and to reach the state tournament. They were able to do so, and their journey to get back their starts with the regular season kickoff tomorrow at home against Des Moines North.
