More than 4000 cases were adjudicated in Marion County Associate and District Court in 2012. That number increased around 12 percent from 2010. That included two murder convictions, 153 OWI convictions, 14 burglary-related convictions, and 19 convictions of sex-based crimes. Marion County Attorney Ed Bull thanks law enforcement, his staff, and the Iowa Attorney General’s Office for their hard work last year. He adds that he looks forward to continuing to strive towards making Marion County the safest county in the state for years to come.
