As previously reported, there was a rollover on Highway 163 near Pella in the early morning hours. Marion County Sheriff Jason Sandholdt has released details on the accident, reporting that at 12:53 a.m., the Marion County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single vehicle roll over accident, approximately 2 miles west of Pella, near the intersection of Hwy. 163 and 195th Ave. Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies, Pella Police Dept., Pella Ambulance, and Pella Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the scene.

The investigation showed Aung Myint, of Marshalltown, was headed westbound on Hwy. 163 when he lost control of his 2000 Mazda Van, due to weather related conditions. The vehicle entered the north ditch of Hwy. 163, rolled and came to rest on its side. All six occupants of the vehicles were transported to the Pella Regional Hospital and treated for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
