Pitcher Ryan Goetzinger couldn’t make it out of the fifth inning despite being sported a 5 – 1 lead, as the Central baseball team lost 8 – 7 Thursday morning to St. Norbert. Central left nine runners on base, and couldn’t capitalize on six errors by the Green Knights, leaving the bases loaded once. Central was down 7 – 5 in their half of the ninth, and came back to tie it, but could not hold on in the bottom half of the inning. Michael Jontz was 3-for-5 and Jordan Judkins had another pair of hits and two runs driven in to lead the Dutch. The Central men’s record now stands at 6 – 2, and will wrap up their Florida trip this morning against Benedictine, Illinois with first pitch at 9:00 a.m.
