Off to a fast, strong start, the Central baseball team, who’s currently 4 – 1, has another big stretch of games in Florida this week, and it all begins with a test from the No. 9 ranked team in the country in Division III, and that’s Webster College out of Missouri. Central has used their speed and played a lot of small ball at this point in the year, swiping ten bases while only being caught once; they’ve yet to wallop a home run this season, and have come up with just four extra base hits. Coach Adam Stevens said he was able to do some scouting on Webster and they’ll have to give them their all today. Central and Webster are just two teams involved in the Russ Matt Invitational, and the first game of the week will get under way at 3:00 p.m. today.
