Following some tough late-game losses, Central’s softball team put the hurting on Mississippi College to close out their Georgia trip, with a five-inning 8 – 0 win. Three Dutch players were perfect from the plate, including Emily Te Brink and Whitney Sowers, who each went 3-for-3 and knocked in a run. Mallory Schulenberg pitched the five inning shutout, allowing just two hits and walked two while striking out five to improve to 1 – 1 on the year. Central’s softball team is now 2 – 4 on the young season, and head to Tucson, Arizona next for five straight days of doubleheader action starting on Tuesday.
