In his first year at the helm, Pella Christian boys’ soccer coach, Gerrit Brouwer is excited for his opportunity to lead a team that has a lot of youth but also a lot of potential. With a week of practice out of the way during Spring Break, the head coach said one of his goals during the pre-season warm-ups and throughout the season is to have each of his players realize their potential and their role on the team. Coach Brouwer stressed how much he wants to continue to motivate his guys and have them keep their eyes on the prize, which this season, he says is to make it to the state tournament. A busy open to the season is in front of the Eagles’ boys, as they’ll be playing three games in four days on the road to begin the spring soccer season in April.
