Cold weather has been a common theme of the 2013 spring sports’ season, and it possibly doesn’t affect any sport more than it does the golf teams. The PCM girls’ golf team has been cooped up indoors, and head coach, Val Edwards says that while she is prepping them as best as she can for the fast-approaching first meet, she has also been mixing things up and having some fun during practice. She also says that if the girls’ kept doing swing practices for an hour, they would quickly get bored and all would be for naught as the team could quickly lose interest. The Mustangs’ girls will hopefully open up the season on April 2 in a triangular home meet against Des Moines Christian and Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont at Gateway Golf Course.
