A former Pella resident now employed by the Story County Attorney’s Office was involved in an attack at the Story County Courthouse this week. Tyler Eason is an Assistant Story County Attorney and came to the aid of another Assistant County Attorney being attacked in the Courthouse after hours. Both men were injured in the face in the attack. County Attorney Stephen Holmes is now calling on the state legislature to increase penalties on those who attack prosecutors, saying they put themselves at risk to do the work of the state.
