It was a pair of games that stuck out to Pleasantville boys’ basketball head coach, Tom Wilkins this season. It all started with a Tuesday game in late January against I-35; a team that had walloped them 63 – 40 earlier in the season. The Trojans took them to overtime and had a two-point lead with only seconds left, but the Roadrunners got a long rebound at the top of the key and drained a three to walk out of Pleasantville with a win. Coach Wilkins said he had no idea how a devastating defeat would affect his guys, but he said they took it well and maybe used some of the “anger” into their next game against the Raiders on Friday. Wilkins also said that his team surprised a lot of people this season with their style of play and how well they played. The Trojans finished the season with a record of 15 – 8.
