The Knoxville Girls Soccer Squad will start practice next week. The Panthers finished a frustrating season last year with a 3-12 record and winless in the Little Hawkeye Conference. Last season the Panthers were blessed with goalie Amber Klootwyk who had 261 saves which ranked her fifth in the state in all classes and second in class 2A. However, the Panthers will be without Klootwyk this season, due to graduation. Coach Charlie Fisher says McKayla Harrell will take over the reins in goal. Harrell stopped tern shot last year on varsity while doing clean up duty in late game situations. Fisher adds she did a good job of playing goal in J-V and feels ready to step up to the varsity level.
