A Knoxville man was convicted this morning of two counts of Failure to Comply with the Sex Offender Registry. 57-year-old Earl Dean Dawson will be sentenced on March 29th on the matter. Dawson was found guilty in a bench trial by the Honorable Terry Rickers in Marion County District Court. The conviction stems from violations of the Sex Offender Registry in early 2012. Dawson faces up to four years in prison, and the Marion County Attorney’s Office says that they’ll be requesting that Dawson is incarcerated as a result of this conviction.
