A Knoxville man was convicted Thursday morning of two counts of Failure to Comply with the Sex Offender Registry. 57-year-old Earl Dean Dawson will be sentenced March 29th. Dawson was found guilty in a bench trial by Judge Terry Rickers in Marion County District Court. The conviction stems from violations of the Sex Offender Registry in early 2012. Dawson faces up to four years in prison. County Attorney Ed Bull says they’ll seek to incarcerate Dawson.
