In their second meet of the season, the Pella High girls’ track and field team already is showing flashes of improvement from their performance on Friday at the ISU Indoor track and field meet last night. Coach Dak Rasmussen told KNIA/KRLS Sports that overall, his team ran some pretty decent times. Rasmussen said that the 4 x 1 was their best event of the night; with a time of 54.32 seconds, which was ran by Jessica Holterhaus, Lauren Manecke, Kailyn Hackman, and Hillary Brummel. The Lady Dutch head coach also pointed out the sprint medley was another strong event on the evening, as his team clocked in at around two minutes, ran by Lydia VanEe, Jessica Holterhaus, Lauren Manecke and Kailyn Hackman. The Pella High girls will be back in action on Saturday at the Central College invitational. Meanwhile, it’s the boys’ turn to take to the ISU Indoor Meet later today at 4:30 p.m.
