Leading the whole way, sophomore Eric Larson won the heptathlon on Saturday at the NCAA Division III indoor track and field championships. Larson scored a school-record number of points with 5,277 and won by over 100. Larson’s title is the 30th individual championship in school history and the 14th in men’s track and field. Eli Horton and Felicia Coleman also earned all-American hardware; Horton came in fourth place in the mile while breaking an over 30 year school record with his time, and Felicia Coleman came in eighth in the 60-meters. Next up for Central track and field are the outdoor meets which get under way on March 23.
