A Lovilla man is in the Marion County Jail after allegedly attempting to break into his ex-girlfriend’s home yesterday morning. Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada tells KNIA/KRLS News that 49-year-old Randall Cook attempted to break into a home on the 800 block of West South Street at about 1:00am, causing an injury to the woman inside in the process.

He fled before police arrived, and was later found at an apartment in Knoxville at around 6:30am. Cook has been charged with 1st Degree Burglary, Domestic Assault Causing Injury – 2nd Offense, and Violation of a No Contact Order. He’ll make an initial court appearance at a later date.
