The PCM girls’ track team will open up their season on Monday, and they will be joined by several other schools in Ames at the Iowa State Indoor Invitational. In her first year as head coach for the Mustangs, Bridget Burns is looking for her girls to find a “starting point” and to use it as a measuring stick for the rest of their season. Burns also stressed that she wants her girls just to go out and have fun since it’s the first meet on their schedule. The first-year coach also told KNIA/KRLS Sports that she hasn’t set any individual goals for the team except for finding the reference point for each girl and use that moving forward. All of the action takes place in Ames starting at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
