A new family practitioner has joined the team at Pella Regional Health Center. Dr. Scott Barclay is now practicing at their Knoxville Medical Clinic. Dr. Barclay comes to Marion County after spending a number of years practicing in Denver.

Though he enjoyed the Denver area, Barclay says it began to feel too large and with his children grown and out of the house, he wanted to find a rural area again. Barclay explains he was attracted to Pella’s advance coverage and procedures for patients, as well as its focus on primary care. He says he’s enjoying the challenge of building his practice again, adding the most challenging part is learning the different medical systems and major hospitals in the area.
