A winter weather advisory is in effect until noon today. The Iowa Department of Transportation reports that area roadways are snow or ice covered and may be slick. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office reports roads in the northern part of the county are in the worst shape, and that there have been multiple vehicles in ditches this morning, including a rollover on Highway 163. County and state road crews are in operation treating area roadways. If you must travel this morning, take plenty of time to get to your destination, and give our road crews and first responders plenty of room to work.
