With numbers a tad down participation-wise this year for the Pella High girls’ track and field team, Coach Dak Rasmussen is still optimistic about the girls he has coming back. Rasmussen said he’s really excited about the sprinters and the “track” portion of their team that he has returning and joining the Lady Dutch in 2013. Coach Dak was also excited to talk about returning hurdler, Lydia VanEe, who he hopes does a lot of great things for them this season. For the Pella girls’ coach, he is really looking at quality over quantity this season, and his returners should produce some good numbers and points for the squad. The Pella High girls will be participating in the ISU Indoor Meet today at 4:30 p.m.
