Despite how quickly the system shifted, Marion County residents and road crews were well-prepared for this week’s storm. That’s according to Marion County Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Anderson. Anderson tells KNIA/KRLS News that he thought, for the conditions that we faced, the road crews did a remarkable job Wednesday. He also says the amount of collisions and cars in ditches were low, showing the precautions that drivers were taking as well. Anderson says there are times when you can’t predict how a storm system will shift and conditions will become worse, but he was happy with how everyone responded.

A new system is expected to come into the area beginning tomorrow, though it’s not expected to be as severe.
