Two men were sentenced to prison last Friday after being convicted of sex-related crimes. 48-year-old Kenneth Rivers was given 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of Lascivious Acts with a Child. He arrested in November after being accused of inappropriately touching a child in 1997.

31-year-old Benjamin Curtis, of Pella, received 11 years in prison and lifetime parole for a number of convictions, including third degree sexual abuse, from an incident that occurred last summer.

Marion County Attorney Ed Bull thanks law enforcement that investigated both crimes as well as the victims for having the courage to confront their attackers. He especially thanks Knoxville Police Lieutenant Aaron Fuller for his work on a nearly 16-year-old crime.
