Within hours of the G-71 opening after flooding covered the roadway, there was a two vehicle accident near 218th and G71. At approximately 6:00PM, Bussey Fire and Rescue, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, and Pella Ambulance were called to the scene of an accident between a flat bed truck and a sedan. The driver of the sedan was transported from the scene. No names have been released, and the accident remains under investigation.
