The Central softball and men’s track and field teams each made moves in their respective sports’ polls yesterday. Previously 17th, the Dutch men slipped just two spots to 19th, despite coming in second in the eight-team Washington University Select Meet this past Saturday. Central softball, who’s currently riding an eleven-game winning streak, jumped four spots to No. 17, thanks in part to a sweep of then-No. 12 Simpson last week. Central men’s track will be in action on Friday and Saturday in Des Moines at the Jim Duncan Classic inside Drake Stadium, while the Dutch women will try once again to play a home game this weekend against Dubuque, a doubleheader scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
