The Pella Christian boys’ golf team placed third in a very tightly-contested meet on Friday in Winterset. The host Huskies led the way, shooting 327; Norwalk was second with a 337 and the Eagles were third with a 340. The meet runner-up was Justin Stravers who carded an 18-hole round of 79, and Josh Posthuma was also not too far behind with an 82, good enough for fifth place. Coach Jim Dingeman tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that he was very happy with the results. Norwalk and the Willow Creek Golf Course is the next destination not only for Pella Christian, but for the rest of the Little Hawkeye Conference boys’ golfers on Monday for the conference meet.
