A shutout marked the beginning of Pella Christian’s girls’ soccer season with a 3 – 0 loss to Marshalltown. The Bobcats had several shots on goal and head coach, Bill Collman said that it was a tough opening game for them. Collman mentioned the efforts of their goalkeeper, Jenna Roose, who kept the game close by making 24 saves. The Eagles’ coach also said that Buffy Bouwkamp did a great job on defense and his team as a whole will learn a lot from the loss. The Eagles are 0 – 1 to begin the season, and will play North Polk at home next on Thursday.
